Studio Plankton is a leading 3D and motion design studio in Antwerp.
Studio Plankton faced the challenge of finding a new office that could accommodate its growing team. They were looking for an environment that reflected their passion for design and creativity and fostered a collaborative way of working. In collaboration with KOMAAN! Architects for the architectural design and Tamco for the steel works, they realized their dream office. The result is a breathtaking building characterized by pastel colors, creative lighting and high-quality products.
The office is also sustainable and future-proof, with energy-saving solutions and Casambi technology, which allows users to adjust the lighting according to their needs and preferences. Studio Plankton is excited about their new workplace that exudes their talent and vision.
The Lighting Design
The lighting design builds on the idea of reusing and enhancing the existing rail system, adding colorful and playful elements.
The inspiration came from the contrast between industrial and artistic aspects of the space, to create a dynamic and inviting atmosphere. The white accent spotlights highlight the artworks and architectural features, while the LED lines under the pastel-colored mezzanine can switch from RGBW colors to white light, depending on the mood and function of the space. The decorative wall luminaires and pendant lights add warmth and charm to the space.
