Induver is a Belgian family business specialising in industrial insurance.
For Induver's revamped headquarters LOOK realised a full Design & Build project, where the office building was completely stripped to shell and new state-of-the art technologies were integrated. Project Nekton tackled the lighting installation as New Lighting. We worked out a lighting concept for the office where we carried out both the concept, study, installation and commissioning of the controls.
Our Solution
After a thorough lighting study, we installed smart lighting throughout the building and all offices: the project is smartly controlled with Bluetooth Low Energy modules by Casambi, and each luminaire was fitted with its own sensor that continuously monitors motion and daylight. In addition to the energy-efficient LEDs, this saves customers an additional 50% on their lighting costs.
Cabling for power provision was provided, and with wireless control and communication, we were able to avoid costs for additional cabling.
The system is also completely future-proof: Induver can scale further in the future, with the two downstairs floors also being addressed and connected to the system in the future.
In addition to lighting, we also collaborated on the following aspects:
- Acoustic flock ceiling: Sound-absorbing panelling for ceiling absorbs sound waves, eliminating reverberation. Every room is so atmospheric, pleasant and nice to work in.
- Solar shutters: Special modules from Casambi provide fully automatic operation of the shutters.

Human Centric Lighting
All living things have an "inner clock" called the circadian rhythm, and humans are no exception. In a nutshell, this means we get up with the sun and go to sleep when it sets. The right light at the right time can affect everything from our sleep to how we feel and perform. This is why Human Centric Lighting (HCL) beneficial for schools, healthcare facilities, offices and industrial buildings.
At Induver, Human Centric Lighting was an important aspect to optimise comfort, health and productivity in the workplace.
Thus, the light follows the colour temperature of natural sunlight. Pleasant warm white light in the morning and evening, and cooler light in the afternoon that follows the circadian rhythm perfectly. In this way, we paid extra attention to room brightness, visual comfort and lighting control.
The proportion of vertical light is also compliant with the latest standards EN-12464-1 update 2021, every goal below has been ticked off:
By the way, did you know that we make such a lighting study for every project? You can read all about it on our Relighting page!
