Earlier this year, our hometown of Edegem recognized us as a Sustainable Hero, affirming our efforts and energizing us to keep pushing forward. But we know there’s still work to be done. Sustainability is a journey, and we continuously challenge ourselves, partner with others, and embrace innovation to evolve further.

Humans spend over 90% of their time indoors, often deprived of natural daylight. At Project Nekton, we prioritize creating healthier, safer workspaces with Human-Centric Lighting to enhance the well-being of workers and users alike.
SDG 7: Affordable and Clean Energy
Our smart LED lighting solutions enable organizations to cut their energy consumption for lighting by up to 85%, providing a quick and impactful path to energy-efficient buildings.
SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth
Our people are our greatest asset. We strive for an economic model that benefits everyone—our employees, partners, and the environment. Guided by the “Do No Significant Harm” principle, we ensure that growth and equity go hand in hand, considering environmental, social and governance standards.
SDG 9 & 11: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure & Sustainable Cities and Communities
By integrating smart lighting and energy-efficient technology, we contribute to the EU’s goal of achieving net-zero non-residential buildings by 2050. With 70% of the buildings in 2050 already in existence today, retrofitting and upgrading are essential for creating sustainable, future-proof spaces.
SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production
From the outset of every project, we prioritize reusing, refurbishing, and recycling materials wherever possible. By embedding the principles of circularity, we ensure that every fixture and material aligns with Eco-Design guidelines for modular and eco-friendly solutions.

Inspired by the Oceans
Our name, Nekton, reflects our passion for the ocean and its ecosystems. Derived from the term for free-swimming marine organisms, it embodies our connection to water and our admiration for life beneath the surface. This connection deepens our commitment to SDG 14: Life Below Water, reminding us to preserve and protect marine life as part of our broader sustainability mission.
